Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has called up Aston Villa left-back Ian Maatsen to replace the ill Jurrien Timber.

Timber was ill and did not play for the Netherlands in Thursday’s 2-2 draw at Spain in the first leg of their Nations League quarter-final.
Koeman has recently decided to call up Ian Maatsen เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง to strengthen the team after assessing that Timber is unlikely to recover in time for the second match in which the Dutch team will have to visit the land of the bulls on Sunday, March 23.
But Timber has left out of Koeman’s matchday squad on Thursday evening at Feyenoord’s De Kuip, where his Arsenal team-mate, Mikel Merino, scrambled home a dramatic late equaliser for Spain.
It emerged that Timber had come down with a sickness bug in the build-up to the Rotterdam clash and Koeman decided against risking the 23-year-old for the quarter-final first leg.
Maatsen trained with the 21-year-old ahead of the friendly against Italy before joining up with the first-team as an option for the clash with Spain.
Koeman will also be without Ajax young defender Jorrel Hato after he has sent off in the first leg and is serving a suspension.
